Saturday was the first night of Mardi Gras at Universal
Studios Florida. The event runs every Saturday through
April 19th. More information on this year's event can be
found
here.
Jaws is currently closed through
February 8th for seasonal maintenance.
The new Ben & Jerry's and Starbucks
location opened over the holiday season.
Ben & Jerry's feature a nicely designed
service area, as well as a small dining section with
tables and chairs.
The adjacent Starbucks resembles the
trendy look you'll find at most standalone Starbucks
locations. This location also features a small dining area
for those wishing to enjoy their beverages inside.

Louie's Restaurant has been boarded up.
On a completely unrelated note, I found
these rubber ET dolls to be extremely creepy. These dolls
are sold at ET's Toy Closet for $15.95, and will soon be
the newest addition to my office desk.
Disaster! has been added to the Studio
Directories throughout the park.
Judging by this scan of the park map, it
appears that Universal hasn't noticed they've been
mistakenly printing Earthquake's old description. This
could possibly be a mistake only found in the Mardi Gras
map, however the error brought a smile to my face.
This full sized tank being attacked by
an octopus tentacle greets visitors as they enter the
attraction.
Banners giving personal quotes from
Disaster Studios owner "Frank Kincaid" have been added
throughout the attraction's queue.
