Located in the city of Osaka, Universal Studios Japan opened its doors to the public on March 31, 2001. The park borrows greatly in scenery from its Florida counterpart, and includes the most popular Universal Studios rides and attractions from the west. While the park uses properties found in other Universal theme parks, Universal Studios Japan features several attractions unique to the park - such as the Hollywood Dream roller coaster and the WiCKED musical, as well as characters from Hello Kitty, The Pink Panther, and Peanuts.

		Hollywood Dream The Ride This attraction begins with you selecting your favorite background music. The roller coaster starts out slowly, gliding smoothly upwards. Now you are up in the air, overlooking the city of Hollywood. Zipping over the Hollywood area, the speed of the coaster ensures plenty of thrills and excitement. Set free from gravity, you’ll feel as if you were flying in the sky. Seen from below, the roller coaster with galaxies of lights streaks across the sky like a shooting star. Toto & Friends Dorothy and Scarecrow search for Toto, who has run off and disappeared into the "Enchanted Orchard of Oz." Their journey leads them to encounter a curiously large, talking fruit tree as well as a variety of funny and friendly forest animals including dogs, chimps, pigs, goats, cats, and various birds.
