 » Poseidon's Fury

Poseidon’s Fury, a special effects extravaganza combined with live action, takes place inside an immense temple and showcases an astounding battle between the ancient gods Poseidon and the evil Darkennon. Although this is a walk-through attraction, it is no less exciting, thrilling, or amazing than any roller coaster. One of the most popular effects is the water vortex tunnel, a cylindrical room in which water rapidly swirls around that guests ultimately get to pass through. The final, climactic scene is an incredibly vigorous battle in which the potent Poseidon and the domineering Darkennon clash.

Taylor: Behind this wall a demon sleeps; An ancient evil held in keep; Poseidon’s power contained the beast; But he too perished when battle ceased; Let non disturb this chamber wall; Or lose the dark, and then lose all; But if this evil you do release; Then seek the Trident, restore the peace; For he who holds the Trident Gold; Has Poseidon’s power for all times told…
Professor Baxter: Taylor! What are you doing in there? I ordered everyone out! Get them out NOW!
Darkennon: You spoke the spell aloud! You freed me from Poseidon’s spell—and from this ancient chamber of death! Now, either find the Trident, or die!
Goddess: Who calls upon the Goddess—guardian of the temple?
Taylor: I… I…
Goddess: You hold Poseidon’s Trident in your hand. What your request of me?
Taylor: This old thing? Poseidon’s… Trident!
Goddess: What is your wish? I shall not ask again!
Taylor: We’d like to get out of here. We want to go home!
Goddess: Alas, it is beyond my power to grant you passage back to your world. The dark one has sealed the doors to this chamber with a locking spell impervious to magic. The way home, is now impossible.
Taylor: There’s got to be something you can do!
Goddess: All is not lost. While I cannot help you back to the surface, I can provide you with safe passage deeper into the temple.
Taylor: Deeper? What are you crazy? We have to get back home!
Goddess: Shh! Listen!
Taylor: Do you hear that? It’s the ocean!
Goddess: Quickly! We have precious little time. Bearer of the Trident Gold—prepare to journey into the heart of this Temple, into the Chamber of Poseidon! Are you brave enough to make the passage under?
Taylor: Well guys? Are we brave enough? Yes!
Goddess: Then witness now—the power of Poseidon! Lord of the seas, I ask for your care, safe passage grant, for those who dare… open up your oceans, swing wide the door, let the waters rush, and the oceans roar! For now is the time, with fortune unplanned, your trident comes home, returned to your hand!
Taylor: Hey look! It’s the passageway! The ancient connection to the ocean!
Goddess: Move quickly, for I cannot maintain its power for long.
Taylor: You heard her, let’s go!
Darkennon: Give… me… that… trident! Give it to me now!
Poseidon: I have returned, Darkennon! Now you will pay for your murderous ways!
Poseidon: Surrender now, Darkennon!
Darkennon: Never! This battle began a thousand years ago, and we end it here—once and for all!
Poseidon: So be it!
Poseidon: It is done! You must go. Quickly! I grant you safe return to your world. Farewell, you are under the protection of Lord Poseidon! Now go!
