The Port of Entry is the first island
guests encounter upon entering the park.
Much like Main Street, U.S.A. at the
Magic Kingdom, the Port of Entry mainly
consists of shops, restaurants, and
guest services, although there is one
attraction located at the edge of the
island. The area is themed to be a
fictional town in which merchants from
the four corners of the globe have
gathered to sell various and assorted
goods. Consequently, some of the most
unique souvenirs can be found in one of
the island's many stores. The buildings
that make up the island are modeled
after many different cultures including
such places as Venice and Timbuktu. The
park?s main icon, the towering
lighthouse located just outside the
entrance, shines the way to an adventure
filled day. While attractions are
lacking in this island, the bustling
marketplace-type atmosphere complimented
by architectural wonders, incredible
shops, delicious dining experiences,
ominous music, and helpful guest
services make up for it to create a
unique and amazing island. |
