Marvel Super Hero Island is the place
where the Marvel super heroes and super
villains come to life. Simple,
to-the-point names such as Ice Cream and
Store are displayed on the buildings of
this fantastic city where good
constantly fights evil, reflecting the
same characteristics found in the comic
books. On the buildings are painted
flats of the comic book characters,
battling for control of the city. Bold,
bright colors along with an amazing
music loop bring the fantasy world of
the Marvel Comics stars to the real
world. Travel down Stan Lee Boulevard or
Yancy Street for super hero adventures
not to be missed. |

- Some of the buildings in the
area are painted with chrome
illusion paint. This causes the
buildings to appear to change color
depending on the location from which
they are being viewed.
- Throughout the Island you will
find red phones, pick them up to
hear special messages regarding the
super heroes.
- Located in front of “Doctor
Doom’s FearFall,” towards the
Spider-Man gift shop is a “DoomNet”
box. If you push the button and
listen closely, you can actually
hear Wolverine going insane, and the
death of Iron Man.
- The large comic paintings
throughout the Island were painted
by artist Adam Kubert. If you look
closely at the paintings, you will
see that in each and every one, Adam
snuck his first name into it
somewhere. Hidden, and often
abstract, it becomes a fun game to
look around the island to “Find the
Adams.”
