 » The Incredible Hulk Coaster

The Incredible Hulk Coaster, located at the entrance to Marvel Super Hero Island from the Port of Entry side, is a tangled steel mass that features 7 inversions and an amazing 0-40 mile per hour launch. The loud, aggressive roar of the ride captures the attention of guests from almost anywhere in the park. Set in Bruce Banner’s laboratories, guests feel what it is like to become the green monster known as the Incredible Hulk.

  • The acceleration tube in which the launch takes place is 150 feet in length.

  • Acceleration is 0 to 40 mph in 2 seconds, approximately the same thrust as an F-16 fighter jet.

  • 26 miles of cable are used for the attraction.

  • Length of the track is 3,800 feet.

  • Subterranean enclosures include 1 under water and 1 under land.

  • The top speed is 67 miles per hour.

  • The ride features 7 inversions including 1 weightless roll, 1 cobra roll, 1 360° degree carousel, 1 inclined loop, 1 high speed carousel, and 2 loops.

  • Length of the ride is approximately 2:15.

  • Each train seats 32 passengers.

  • The launch utilizes 220 50-horse powered motors to propel the train.

  • The launch is powered by a 2 megawatt generator. If the attraction were to be powered off of Orlando’s power grid, a single launch would black out the city.

  • The ride features one of the highest inversions ever built at 109 feet.

  • The height of the coaster is 110-feet, and the drop height is 105-feet.

  • The ride produces 4g’s.

  • The Incredible Hulk Coaster can be seen in the "House on Haunted Hill" movie.

  • There were formerly 64 strobes on each train that set off during launch and throughout the ride. These were later removed due to medical complications.

  • The steel frame of the Incredible Hulk Coaster is hollow to create the “roaring” sound heard as the coaster moves down the track.
