» Pteranodon Flyers |
|

|

|
|
Pteranodon Flyers, located inside Camp
Jurassic, is a mild, suspended roller
coaster designed for the younger
adventurers. Dangling from each
pteranodon are two separate seats that
have the ability to swing from side to
side when the direction of flight is
changed. Although they gracefully soar
at a relaxing pace, some of the younger
ones may find this attraction a bit
scary even though there are no drops. At
any rate, the brief, picturesque flight
over Camp Jurassic is one ride that is
not to be forgotten. |

Children’s Aerial Flight Attraction |

- A maximum height requirement was
put on this attraction after the park
opened to reduce the wait time. Due to
the very low capacity, extremely long
lines were forming for a ride that
lasts approximately 80 seconds.
- To cut down the wait time, guests
must now be accompanied by a child
between 36" and 56" to ride. However,
guests taller than 56" who are not
accompanied by a child meeting this
requirement are permitted to ride
shortly after the park opening and
shortly before the park closing.
- The ride is approximately 65-feet
high and 800-feet long.
- Pteranodon Flyers was designed by
Spectra F/X. However, the company went
bankrupt during construction. Setpoint
Incorporated, another company,
completed the project and patented the
technology.
